The fact that all signs are pointing to two gunmen and the fact that this is a center treating the mentally disabled makes this much, much more likely to be an act of domestic terrorism.

My youngest brother regularly attends sessions at institutions similar to this. It's very disturbing. I hope my suspicions are not confirmed as more develops.

My God, on 9/11 you tools would probably be making snarky comments like "if only the World Trade Center had a gun" wouldn't you?

Him, what sort of motive could be behind an attack on such an institution? Especially as this seems to be more like a terrorist attack than a lone madman.

Terrorism is about terrorizing. Striking the most innocent and least offensive subset of the American population (the mentally disabled, autistic, etc) is a good way to strike fear into the hearts of America.

Doesn't seem like an act to create maximum carnage.  Nobody blew themselves up.  It sounds like the one to three gunman (reports are getting vaguer) ran in and out in a short period, like under three minutes.

Doubt it. ISIS chooses symbolic targets. There is nothing symbolic about a random office building, no matter if it's a service center for people with mental health issues. ISIS wouldn't use wrong door either.

The attack itself (in/out shooting), not the target. Still don't understand the motive, but the physical attack is not unlike the Charlie Hedbo attack.

A bunch of French people at a concert is symbolic? A Russian plane? ISIS is engaging in psychological warfare, and targeting a random office building is a good way to do it.

I find it disgusting that people are literally desperate to avoid the fact that, yes, some Muslims can be terrorists. Not all Muslims, but some.

And good luck getting the refugees in now (yes, I know the attackers likely were not refugees). Whether we should or shouldn't take them in is irrelevant, because the issue is dead. Once again, radical Islamic terrorists have struck us. This is the third major attack by them since 9/11.
