It is a film synopsis. It doesn't have anything to do with anything, unlike a certain Vice President whose path to the Democratic nomination was basically ruined by plagiarizing Neil Kinnock Wink.

Good thing no one watches Rachel Maddow. But yeah, fire the speechwriter.
I love Rachel Maddow. Lots of people watch her. I agree that the story was amusing, but also irrelevant.

I'm no fan of Paul, but this... really isn't a big deal.
Even Joe Republic agrees with me on this one. It must be snowing in hell.

Ugh, if he was gonna plagiarize a Labour politician he shoulda done Michael Foot or someone else cool.
Michael Foot was the natural rival to Thatcher in terms of bad assery.

What exactly is the point of having a group like this, obsessed with presidential elections, if when one of the major, strongest-polling 2016 players expresses frustration that he can't challenge Rachel Maddow to a gun duel like he would like to, no one mentions it? Why are you all writing about anything else on the day Rand Paul reveals he is a full-on insane person/gaffe machine with 0% chance of getting elected president? How is this board not interested in that news?
That was a joke. The plagiarism allegations are far, far worse than that comment.

It's funny that Rand Paul apparently doesn't know what the definition of plagiarism is? His excuse the whole time has been that he forgot to put in footnotes. But there's absolutely no indication in his speeches or his books that these words are anyone else's but his own.

And now he's threatening to shoot Rachel Maddow and Andrew Kaczynski, lol. Republicans better hope Christie is somehow the nominee, because all the other candidates are hilarious gaffe machine extremists apparently.
Yes; musing about a duel to defend his honor is equal to threatening to shoot somebody in cold blood Roll Eyes.

Yes?
A duel is a mutual agreement. Technically, Maddow would have to give her consent. You’re implying that Paul just wants to shoot her in the head at random.
