Both of my moms parents were born and raised in West Virginia, and their families have been in the region for a very, very long time. My moms dads mother was from the Cutlip family, which is very big, and was referenced in the Hatfields and McCoys the other night. My moms moms mom (tongue twister) was descended from the English Compton family.
