the kurds are allied with assad, who is allied with russia, which is allied with turkey...which is...allied with the kurds?

Implausible because no motive. Unless McCain's hawkishness on Russia is all an act and he's somehow giving them under the table. But I doubt it.

That'd be like if Hillary ran a campaign based upon trying to start a new cold war with Russia after the Clintons were involved with selling 20% of the uranium mines in the US to Russia.
