I didn't realize Austin was more populous than SF. In that case, it'll remain Austin.

That's because Austin, like most cities west of the Mississippi, is absurdly large in terms of land area. SF is an outlier in that its municipal boundaries are limited mostly to its urbanized area, but the SF metro is actually over twice as populous as the Austin metro.

At least it's not 1500 miles long like Honolulu.
