Biden and Clinton are electable, whereas Sanders is not. That alone makes them better than Sanders.

in b4 jfern barges in citing "BUT SANDERS IS DOING BETTER IN THESE POLLS (THAT HAVE NO STATISTICAL CORRELATION WITH THE GE THIS FAR OUT)!!!!"

OK, you are just a troll.

Anyways, I don't of Sanders ever saying he was against gay marriage. Many politicians were considered neither for nor against gay marriage, and I think he was for a long time. He definitely fully supported SSM in 2009, while Hillary was still a gay marriage opponent in early 2013.

It's also worth noting that he owes his career to the NRA. He lost all of his statewide races badly until the NRA got angry at the Republican incumbent in the House and decided to #feelthebern and back Sanders. He's not as liberal or bold as his supporters would like people to believe.

Sanders lost the open 1988 election by only 4 points, and 1990 was a midterm, where the President's party does worse, and he won the 1990 election by 16.5 points. The NRA didn't campaign for him, and I think it's clear that even had they endorsed the Republican incumbent, Sanders would have won, just by less than 16.5 points.
