If California is the poorest state in the union, then based on what I've seen driving around the whole of Southern California and the Bay Area, it's also the richest state in the union at the same time.

Well, if you have everyone rank states in order of richness, and then find the IRV winner and the IRV loser, they could be the same thanks to that quirk in IRV.
