I doubt this run will help him in 2016 unless, like a previous poster said, a far-right candidate wins the nomination and loses to Obama despite his unpopularity.

Things are looking up for Jon Huntsman then.

Although I'm sure Hannity and Coulter are already preparing an explanation about how Rick Perry was a moderate former Democrat and they need to go even farther to the right in 2016.

At the rate the parties are moving to the right, Huntsman should be a lock for the 2016 Democratic nomination.
