Pro-choice, pro-life poll

The only thing about this poll is that I have no idea what question was asked.  A lot of people would say theyre pro-choice - to an extent.  I would be one of those people, but I would also say I'm strongly pro-life.

Exactly. It's a very broad question.  But I guess it's fair game for your map.

I'm just saying it doesn't really show each state's position on abortion.

Here's a CBS News poll from July that asks better questions:

"What is your personal feeling about abortion? (1) It should be permitted in all cases. (2) It should be permitted, but subject to greater restrictions than it is now. (3) It should be permitted only in cases such as rape, incest and to save the woman's life. OR, (4) It should only be permitted to save the woman's life."


All Cases - 28%
Greater Restrictions - 15%
Rape, Incest, Woman's Life - 33%
Only Woman's Life - 15%
Never - 5%
Unsure - 4%

From July 13-14:
"Would you favor or oppose requiring that at least one parent be told before a girl under 18 years of age could have an abortion?"

Favor: 80%
Oppose: 17%
Unsure: 3%
