Ummm... so by turning their back on everything their party stands for, they're somehow 'True Republicans'?

And exactly what is it that which the party stands for which he supposedly has turned his back on?  Please try and be more specific than simply "opposing anything Democrats support" or blindly and blandly screaming 'socialism'?   

I understand that the party has changed a lot in the last decade, and abandoned most of it's traditional principles (which is why I finally left in 2000), but what principle does it claim to support is he violating?
