Accepting of homosexuality
Less religious than the average American
Moderate views about immigrants compared to other GOP-oriented groups

Who They Are

Strong Republican-orientation, though a majority identify as independents
Affluent: 39% have incomes of $75,000 or more

65% Conservative, 35% Liberal

Social Issues: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal

Personal Responsibility: 75% Conservative, 25% Liberal

Fiscal Issues: 100% Conservative, 0% Liberal

Ethics: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal

Defense and Crime: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal

Didn't really like this test. I thought it was too vague and the options weren't specific enough for some of the questions.

If there's one thing you hate more than anything else, it’s the status quo. This makes you something of a maverick, and many of your political views might be considered odd by your more conventionally minded neighbors. You certainly don’t tow anyone’s line, and while this can make religious and political conversations a bit awkward, your forthright honesty engenders a certain amount of respect from others. You’re deeply protective of your privacy and extremely wary of too much governmental interference. Your fellow citizens, after all, are a pretty sharp group of people; they don’t need Big Government micro-managing every little detail of their lives.

Conservative/Progressive score: 7
You are a social moderate. You think the progressive movement is overall well meaning, but sometimes it goes too far. On issues like abortion and affirmative action, you see the negatives of both extremes on the issue. You probably value religion, but at the same time you think it should still stay separate from the government

Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 3
You're a Capitalist Purist. You believe that the market should be completely free, and that the invisible hand of the market will make sure that the people get what they want and will do it in the most efficient way possible. You believe in small government, less taxes, and more privatization.

Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 0
You are libertarian. You think that the government is making way too many unnecessary laws that are taking away our innate rights. You believe that the government's job is primarily to protect people from harming other people, but after that they should mind their own business, and if we give the government too much power in controlling our lives, it can lead to fascism.

Pacifist/Militarist score: 0
You're a Pacifist. You are angered that the United States thinks it should dominate the world through its military force. You think that the only time war is necessary is when we are in direct danger of being attacked. You also believe the US spends way too much of its money on defense, as we can practically cut it in half and still easily defend ourselves, and use that money to fix all our economic problems.

Overall, you would most likely fit into the category of Hardcore Libertarian

You got 84 points.
Centrist ho! You're like most people, unable to make up their mind. Or maybe you're like a libertarian whose ideas are all over the map. Anyway, you're the target of most ad campaigns because your votes actually affect the outcome of elections (you attention whore, you). For fun, here are where some other major political figures would score (out of 144): George W. Bush: 94 John Kerry: 58 Ralph Nader: 12 Howard Dean: 34 Colin Powell: 82 Joe Lieberman: 70 John Edwards: 52 Harold Browne: 90 Michael Savage: 108 Me: 104

Economic Conservative

You are an advocate of the free market system and see no problem with people being a little greedy and even deceitful if it means making a profit. You oppose government programs that redistribute wealthy taxpayers' money to citizens in need, such as Medicaid and Social Security.

Democratic Socialist

You are the standard European socialist who believes that the government should spend large amounts of money on social welfare programs. You also believe that these social welfare programs are mandated by the people who vote in your ideal democratic government
Libertarian

Anarchist

Communist

Fascist

Authoritarian Capitalist

(wat)

Libertarian (Classical Liberal) - A believer in a political doctrine that emphasizes individual liberty and a lack of governmental regulation and oversight both in matters of the economy ('free market') and in personal behavior where no one's Constitutional rights are being violated or threatened.

Terms possibly associated with Libertarians: Libertarian, Classical Liberal, Constitutional Purist, Low Taxes, Limited Government, Economic Freedom, Personal Freedom

Personal Freedom Index (PFI) = 80%
Economic Freedom Index (EFI) = 70%
Total Freedom Index (FI) = 75%

Career Diplomat
You scored -9 Force, 5 Institutions, and -3 Ideals!

You like diplomacy for its own sake. On the bright side, this means that you are likely to avoid going to war (even if it means parsing apart smaller countries to appease megalomaniac dictators). On the not so bright side, the costs of such inaction are often quite high. But...at least you'll have job security.

Libertarian (100%)
Anarcho-syndicalist (97%)
New Labour (71%)
Liberal (65%)
Traditional Societies (57%)
Conservative (51%)
Authoritarian (24%)
Totalitarian (22%)

26 - closest to HW Bush

Libertarian - You believe that the main use for government is for some people to lord it over others at their expense. You maintain that the government should be as small as possible, and that civil liberties, "victimless crimes", and gun ownership should be basic rights. You probably are OK with capitalism. Your historical role model is Thomas Jefferson.

Paul: 85%
Johnson: 84%
Goode: 71%
Romney: 63%
Stein: 61%
Obama: 45%

You Scored as Minarchist
Minarchists are libertarians who advocate a strictly limited government and usually a more decentralized form of it. Minarchists may vary in the degree to which they think that government should be limited, although the bare bones position is essentially nothing more than police, courts and the military. Minarchists tend to think that some minimum level of government is a necessary evil, or at least an inevitability. The contemporary libertarian movement in America is dominantly minarchist, although it has had a long history of dialogue and debate between minarchist and anarchist libertarians.

Paleo-libertarian 50%

You are a Free Marketeer, also known as a fiscal conservative. You believe in free-market capitalism, tax cuts, and protecting your hard-earned cash from pick-pocketing liberal socialists.

You are a Reality-Based Intellectualist, also known as the liberal elite. You are a proud member of what's known as the reality-based community, where science, reason, and non-Jesus-centric thought reign supreme.

Silicon Enclave

0 traditional, 12 liberties, 2 capitalist, 2 isolationist and 8 populist!

You don't like to be told what to do. In your opinion, the problem with the country is that the government and big business try to control too much -- things they can't control and shouldn't try to. Instead, you'd like to see society run on open-source principles, with free markets, free information and the free exchange of ideas allowed to work their transformative power through human creativity and initiative. Granted, not everyone has the skills and knowledge necessary to reap the full benefits of this freedom. Well, you figure, that's their problem. You'll do fine as long as you surround yourself with folks who are in your techno-literacy league.

Conservative/Progressive score: 8

On issues like abortion and affirmative action, you see the negatives of both extremes on the issue. You probably value religion, but at the same time you think it should still stay separate from the government

Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 9
You're a Social Capitalist, you think that, left to its own, Capitalism leaves a lot of people behind. You think that Health Care should be free to all, that the minimum wage should be raised, and that the government should provide jobs to all that are capable of having them. You likely hated the Bush tax cuts, and believe that the middle class has gotten poorer, and the rich have gotten richer over the past several years. The far extreme of social capitalism is socialism.

Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 1
You are libertarian. You think that the government is making way too many unnecessary laws that are taking away our innate rights.
