Not every president will be the Great Napoleon.

If the SoFE is absentee, the responsibility to administer the election falls to the Deputy SoFE, or the President. This is a requirement for the election administrator, so if the SoFE isn't available to post a sample ballot, someone else will have to.

Well, why have faith in the SoFE to follow any requirements, right?

Help! I seem to have accidentally deleted my ballot.

How did you do that?  I don't think you can vote again..

You can't.

I wouldn't think so. But I'd like to have it counted as it was already recorded.

I'd like to have it counted too, but I'm not sure it works that way.

The Northeast Senate race had more candidates than we thought it would.

And had Simfan not deleted his ballot, Nix would've tied my record for most votes in a regular election to the Senate (regional or at-large), albeit without an official opponent.

Why was mine invalid? I thought I followed all the rules...

You voted for the wrong candidate.

The real reason is that you had to register as a voter at least seven days before the election. Smiley

Hey, you should run for Northeast Assembly!

Also, Mr SoFE, I suppose this is as good a time as any to inform you I shall be accepting write in votes for the Northeast Assembly race, as per request.

The Northeast Governor will be running that election, not the honorable SoFE. This post should still be enough though.

Why would anyone want to be on the ballot as a Social Credit candidate?

How was my vote counted? As a 1st pref write-in for myself or for Alfred?

First preference write-in for "All of these choices suck except Matt Damon".

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I may have to hire Bacon King to file a lawsuit against these results.

There's no valid lawsuit to bring about.

My ballot was misinterpreted.

Write-In candidates must accept any ballots given to them. They can do so by declaring so in the candidate deceleration thread, or, by writing themselves in. Any write-ins, regardless of preference, that have not accepted, must be removed before any other counting is done. This includes so-called "Joke Write-Ins". All valid write-ins must be counted as valid ballots. This also includes "Joke Write-Ins". The determination of validity is not yours to make beyond ensure the candidate both accepts write-ins, and, is eligible for the office.

You are wrong. Tongue They were tied after drj vote transfers. Smiley The tiebreaker would then be second prefeences which Kalwejt wins 19-17 I believe.

So, if Alfred had more second preferences than Kalwejt, you would be right. Matt would be elected. But in this case, it doesn't matter which tie breaker is used. "Status on the preceding count" is the first tiebreaker though.

I wrote the law. I don't think the region can force duties upon the SoFE.

Too bad you officially resigned your Senate seat while a member of the "Reality or Nothing Party," and not as a member of the Progressive Union. I see you have since deleted your post in the New Register Thread, but I know it was there through last night and for at least two days, and your registration took place sometime yesterday afternoon. You deleted it so you could use this loophole to allow the Progressive Union to appoint your replacement. They don't get to do so by law because you weren't a member of the party when you resigned.

1. That post had been edited.
2. Until published by the RG, there is no record of a party change
3. Do you really think I would resign without knowing what party I am in? Lol

What happened to the "party of ideas"? Party of personal attacks and pettiness was more appealing? According to the Census Bureau, I am a member of the Progressive Union and was at the time of my resignation. Unless you ha e hard evidence contradicting this, well, you don't. Too bad.

dude your last piece of legislation was about clones

Amending a law that was already existing! Apparently clones have been important to this government for years.

If your party switch didn't count until RG updated his thread, then why did you edit *and* delete the post?

I think you quoted the wrong post, sharp tool. I edited the post to change my party then deleted it because I can't have a beach house in focking Nevada.

I've watched enough CSI to know that when the guy sitting at the table is accused and stands up and says, "Prove it", 99.9% of the time, he ends up being guilty of exactly what he was accused of.

Except the RG himself stated the same thing before I said it. But I'm glad you believe everything you see on Tv.

ATTN SoFE Homelycooking:

Due to the unforeseen controversy regarding the vacancy caused by my resignation, I bring to your attention the current statute:

Napoleon deleted his change to the "Reality or Nothing" party, presumably so that the Progressive Union could fill his vacant seat.

Nappy, I would be the relevant member of the Department of Forum Affairs in this matter.

The SoFE is responsible for handling the vacancy according to the Proportional Representation Act. Right?

I could be wrong here- but I believe the law was passed in late 2010, while the forum affairs reform act was passed in mid 2010.
