By now, we should have know that the American way of drawing political districts (especially congressional and state legislative districts) in many states is one of the most blatantly political in the developed world.  I would, however, like to gather opinions from whoever familiar with the reapportionment system used in the UK to redraw the constituencies at the House of Commons; specifically on whether the process is less political than the US system and its potential usefulness in the US.  Thanks!
