I'm not sure how to react. A few months ago I would roll my eyes at continuing coverage of his slow decay, and wished he could just die already. Now that he's dead there is an emptiness as I realize maybe he had not said everything he had to say.
I always found Hitchens's flirt with atheism insignificant. Degrees more important was why he became enamoured with "fascism with an Islamic face". But he has written down almost everything he had to say, so hopefully the answer won't die with him.
