But
I read the Chinese article, and the argument the columnist made was better to attack now than never - Vietnam/Philippines will drag the US and others into what the Chinese think is a regional conflict. "The actions of great powers may cause a temporary global stir, but in the long run they will stabilize the region and focus a nation's strategy. That can only maintain world peace."
