Apparently the vote was packed with strategic Democrat voters.

Yeah, egged on by Cooter from The Dukes of Hazzard, of all people. I had no idea he'd ever been a Congressman, but apparently he was at one time. He served from Georgia for a while, moved to Virginia, ran against Cantor in 2002, and is apparently pretty (understandably) bitter about how the campaign went.

Both teach at the same place, no less.

Brat seems to inspire more feedback in general. Or maybe he just teaches more, since it seems from Trammell's website like he wears a lot of other hats as well.
