Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Moderate-ish liberal type, although I haven't seen enough of his posts yet to figure it out much more specifically than that. Definitely seems to be at least something of an internationalist, or globalist, depending upon which terms one prefers.

Leftist with feminist, queer, and possibly environmentalist and Marxist (? I could be entirely off-base on these, in that I could be confusing you with somebody else) influences. Keen to some of the more irritating affectations and self-serving justifications of the contemporary leftist chattering classes. Is almost certainly quite a bit more socially liberal than I am.

Strong leftist with Marxist sympathies; unabashed liberal who supports restricting markets and economic freedom for "the good of the people."

Nice, tried-and-true use of scare quotes. Well played.

Seems like a fairly standard urban left-liberal with generally well-considered opinions. Interested in transportation policy and doesn't like cars very much, which I think is commendable. I'd imagine not a fan of Robert Moses.

Catholic and conservative, as his username indicates. Seems to be fairly old-style mainstream right, without much time for Tea Party or Moral Majority histrionics (although I'm pretty sure he is both economically and, on most issues, socially conservative). Appears to have some working-class affinities and is really interested in the history and culture of the sixties and seventies.

Oh, sorry!

EDIT FOR MAXWELL: Libertarian, and by the standards of online libertarians (and people who discuss politics online more generally) quite temperate in his rhetoric. Seems to be relatively pragmatic-minded.

IceSpear is a mainstream American liberal. He's more honest and less given to triangulating than most Democratic politicians but his positions for the most part remain roughly around the leftward edge of the sweet spot of Democratic Party orthodoxy.

Hash is a liberal. He tends to lean or default towards the left rather than the right, more out of a strong distaste for social conservatism than anything else. He's even more cynical than most about mainstream politicians and political movements, and unlike a lot of people with his views he's a full-throated regionalist and decentralist. This last is probably mostly influenced by his personal background, which if memory serves is Breton.
