Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Unions, but I don't have a negative opinion of Hasids either.

Well, some Hasids, obviously... But most of the Hasids I've actually met are quite nice and, dare I use this term nonironically, normal folks, obvious differences in dress sense and personal schedule aside. Probably has to do with them not living in or near one of the homogeneous New York enclaves.

Unions, obviously. I must prefer those who make an effort to address problems to those who think a mystic all powerful deity should do it for them.

Do you know anything about Judaism whatsoever?

Having been raised Jewish, I certainly do. By all means question my omniscience on a subject that relates to me personally. I do believe that is your lazy defintion of losing an argument.

Duly noted. Not ignorance, then.

That's an odd way to characterize the Hasidic belief in the interdependence of the human and divine roles in cosmic repair (tikkun olam).

I don't think that's a solely Hasidic concept either. I'm genuinely surprised that that post came from the keyboard of somebody even slightly familiar with Judaism, let alone somebody who actually is Jewish.
