Question: This is reserved to the members of the hypothetical Standing Committee, or open to all Labour members.

The Standing Committee is of the whole.

opebo, the South might be a good idea. We don't have all the people there we might want.

The operation has the endorsement of the Chair.

More forthcoming...

Welcome to the Party, Velasco!

Putting this into the relevant thread.

History has taught us that strategic registration is a bad thing anyway.

Please elaborate.

I was just about to ask this.

With this month's elections out of the way, we do need to conduct our convention business.

I approve of this poster.

The convention should officially start at midnight Atlas Forum timestamp time (which fortunately is also the time zone that Birmingham is in!). I'll be back in twelve to fifteen minutes to formally open it.

THE CONVENTION IS OFFICIALLY OPEN.

Any proposals for specific bylaws regarding elections of Party positions would be appreciated at this time.

I agree and I'll work on creating some official party by-laws tomorrow so we can have them in writing.

Thank you.

I've found myself in the uncomfortable position of being a Labor Chairman participating in a coalition Administration that is running for reelection against a Labor-endorsed ticket that I obviously considering my own position cannot support. I was intending to resign as Labor Chairman after the election but since we're doing this now I'd accordingly like to open up a leadership contest.

Congratulations, Chairman Griffin.

As you've requested, I'm locking this thread so that you can start one of your own, now that you're Chair.

Congratulations, of course, to Vice-Chairman Marokai and General Secretary Barnes as well.
