Haven't been paying much attention to this but goodness what a bunch of deplorables. Gavin is cheesy and fake, he's like an American Trudeau. Elder has been a laughingstock even before The Boondocks aired and Paffrath is an absolute ghoul. I'd probably ignore the recall portion and vote Angelyne.

If I lived in Cali I'd strongly consider not voting, and I don't even miss off year primaries. Everyone in this race is foul.

What percentage of the Black male vote does Larry Elder get? 10% 15? I don't see Black men being excited over a slick white guy like Gavin Newsom....

Do blacks in CA vote any differently than blacks in Dixie?

My gut says Black voters in Cali are maybe a shade more GOP than the national average, especially in the LA burbs.

Newsom will be making a statement right when the polls close.

Let's hope he takes a well-deserved victory lap.

yea congrats on winning a D+30 state as a democrat

Y'all picked this fight

And pissed away a quarter billion dollars in the process.

Let’s not talk about burning money lmao

Jamie Harrison
Amy McGrath
Sara Gideon
Beto O’rourke

Tbf Gideon was polling pretty well and Beto rejuvenated the failing Texas Dem party and almost won.

Newsom only doing two points better among Latino voters than white voters. Black voters are at 19% yes.

That's pretty good for the GOP.

18-24s are 2-1 no, and the most Dem friendly age demo. 50-64s, aka late Boomers/Generation Jones are of course the most yes friendly.

What’s gonna be real telling is how this compares to Biden in 2020 and 2018.

That’s what’s concerning to me.

The mail Ins line up exactly with the final results from 2020 general.

So the result is likely to be 5-7% better for the GOP than 2020 general.

That kind of swing would be deadly for the Dems in the midterms

Dude no

This is an off year election

The candidates, for all intents and purposes are "yes" and "no"

California has atypical demographics

This means nothing

Not that surprising tbh. Federal D voter at all levels =/= pro-Newsom

Of course but just something to look out for in the future. The plus side is minorities trending R while suburban whites trend D is a big help for redistricting.
