Unless you're about to hand in paper work, I wouldn't be so sure about that. Many people seem to change their minds. Especially in STEM.

For the record, my current employment stems from having done CJ, rather than political science. Ideally, I will practice at much higher levels in both before the darkness takes me.

NOTA, yet. I'm undecided between PoliSci and International Relations at the moment, since I really enjoy both. Plenty of time to think it over.

Is there not some way to combine those two at your educational institution? Seems like one normally can.

One is conventionally seen as a sub-field of the other.
