Who was worse, Lyndon Johnson or Jimmy Carter?

Neither does Johnson.

It was the short-sighted economic policies of Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon that created the horrible environment known as the 1970's.

Carter because I like black people.

Jimmy Carter also liked black people and, most likely, would've signed the same bill, so try again you walnut.

But Johnson did far more for black people than Carter.

Anyone else find this discussion strange? Maybe it's just the use of the term "black people" as opposed to "African-American community" or something like that, but it's weird.
