I'm starting to come to terms with the fact that my life peaked between 1 AM September 7th-1 AM September 8th, 2013. It's been a bit painful accepting that, but I'm now prepared to face the rest of my bleak life.
Swipe the V-card??

Nah. Closest I've ever gotten though. Long story with a bad ending (which was this week).

I f#cked up! I completely f#cked this sh#t up. Dammit! I was supposed to work 5-8 today, but I only saw the email just now. First off, the email around these parts is utter crap, so for all I know it arrived late. Second, I implied I'd prefer to be called. Who checks the college email regularly? You have to open like three tabs to get to it! Dammit! F#ck!

Well the boss is in a forgiving mood, but I'd still prefer a more reliable, consistent, and regular means of communication.

Exactly. I basically stated to call me instead of email, and I tried to call the only phone number I have for him to be told that Residence Life couldn't take my call at the moment, I suspect due to it being the weekend.

I have the flu. I feel like asshole and have no desire to leave my dorm for the next day or two.

It's called you ignore the sickness and power through. Weakness promotes attackers.

So I'm working one to four AM.... About to be done. I guess either I sit around and wait for breakfast to open at 7:30--I might actually go for a run at like six--or I just, I dunno, fall asleep and wake up after my alarm, totally screwed.

I finally was going to ask my Homecoming date to-day at an Academic Decathalon meeting after school, only to find she was not present. Debating what to do now...

If your school's homecoming is anything like mine, don't bother.

Don't listen to Snowstalker's anti-sexuality advice. Go after her bro. Even if she turns you down, you can just be like "I'm over that" while knowing that at least you got it out of the way so you don't have to fret over such things in the future.

As for myself? Awaiting a ride from my friend at Wayne so we can head back to our area. We'd heard tell of tickets to Kid Cudi being sold at the door for around $25 and are intending to purchase such things. A bunch of old classmates from high school are gonna be there, and some chick from my college that I know will as well be present. Hoping to potentially run into her, though my main focus would be meeting up with all the folks from high school. Going back to UDM Sunday. I have to get back before 5 PM on Sunday though so I can work 5-8.

I don't know if GMB swings that way...

Maybe he doesn't, but he did say "she", and that's all I gotta work with.

GMB was talking about a girl; you said to go after her brother. Tongue

Oh crap. Sorry about the, Mung Beans. Go after he, bro. My mind inserted the comma for me and I'd been feeling like I'd been overusing commas recently. Apologies all around.

My ride's going to arrive at my house at some point and we're gonna get ready to party it up at/before Kid Cudi.

I worked as a polling assistant today and earned around $100. My municipality pays each polling assistant at least $33/hour, which is quite generous.

Would that be the same as an Elections Inspector* here in the States?

*Caps added by me out of respect for the office I formerly held and hope to do so again someday.

I'm rethinking doing my food shopping Sunday mornings.   Aside from the fat sows at the food sampling stations people literally stink. Does no one shower on Sunday morning before going out?  Ugh.

Having been out late last night, I can guess why they wouldn't shower, though I myself wouldn't contemplate going shopping for food smelling like crap. I had the work ethic to shower at like 3 AM before I went to bed, so I was good for the morning.

I'm still at my house and have work on campus at five. My ride has a bunch of errands to run today and hopefully he gets to my place by four.

Went to Kid Cudi yesterday. Had a pretty good time though I've my grievances regarding Mr. Mescudi's performance. I'll have to type the entire narrative out for mass distribution someday.

I finally saw and asked her to-day. The answer was in the negative. Sad

Frickin' shame man. Sorry to hear it. You can now rest easy knowing that she's obviously a poor decision maker--having rejected you--and be comfortable with the fact that you wouldn't want to be with a poor decision maker anyway.

This week is Rush Week. Being sick and lazy, I didn't go to anything on Monday or Tuesday. Finally went with Sigma Pi to Buffalo Wild Wings. Some pretty cool folks there, and they've certainly reached out to me more than a few other frats--finding me on facebook and all that crap. Plus, since tomorrow seems like it'll be a cool Rush Week event, I might only have time to attend one Rush event outside of Sigma Pi. That'll likely help close me off from other frats, possibly making Sigma Pi my only choice, in which case, I'd like to get in.

Looks like I've got myself a packed schedule tonight. A Rush Week event at, I believe 7:30 that goes until 10, then Floor 3 Capture the Flag at 10, and finally work from 1-4 AM.

Pretty cool night yesterday.

When on a short shopping trip + check depositing expedition, got dinner some time after 6:00 PM. Chicken strips and fries from an on-campus grill. Sometime after seven, I headed over to a frat house and hung out there, went over to the one next door where I talked with a bunch of guys on my floor. I re-visited the first one for a short while before heading back to my building to play Floor 3 Capture the Flag at ten. After the team I was on won (of course), headed back to the frats until about 12:30, which is when I headed back to my building. Ended up talking with guys in both frats, folks from my class, hockey bros, etc. I showered and had work 1-4 AM. Towards the end it was Hell, but whatever. I'm getting paid. Tonight's a toga party at the first frat I visited yesterday.

I was told I'd be contacted by a guy at or around four or four-thirty or something like that. Now wondering if I just gave away twenty bucks. I doubt it, but I'm a person who suspects others easily.

Given that we live in the same building, I know his room mate, and we know a bunch of the same folks, I don't think there's much room for me to be cheated here. But you never know.

So last night got pretty wild. Both fun & disastrous. I'm posting from an iPod &  can't put up all the details. Important part is that's fight broke out between the Lax Bros & Sigms Pi. I was one of many crushed in the cried trying to shove the Lax Bros out the door. At some poi t, I should compile a record of all these events.

I've just learned that the manuscript I wrote last year will be published as my second book next year.  Woohoo!  Smiley

Last night, while working into the wee hours of the morning, I received some startling news. While I'd been quite sure I'd be going to Sigma Pi's Hooters outting tonight, Kappa Delta Rho (KDR) has seen fit to invite me to their bid dinner, apparently based on the fact that I went to one of their rush events for like an hour. While I'd like to invest in Sigma Pi and I'm optimistic that I'll get a bid from them, at the very least I'd like to respect KDR's decision to invite me. Sadly, it'd mean missing the last Rush event with SigPi before they hand out bids at midnight. A bit of a dilemma and I'm still thinking it through. One caveat for KDR is that the dress is business casual and they're probably going to a higher end (relatively) restaurant, which would probably be less my style. For Hooters I can probably still dress like a homeless man. Also, I have like two shirts that I could pass off for business casual, maybe three, and my preferred one is currently awaiting a wash.

So yeah, unsure of where I'll be going this night. I definitely don't want to say an utter "screw you" to KDR, especially if, for whatever reason, things don't work out with SigPi, but I'm pretty optimistic on that front.

Well, looks like my dilemma may be resolved, for the moment. On the way to lunch I ran into some Sigma Pi brothers asking if I'd be at Hooters tonight. When I stated my dilemma and that I wanted to respect KDR's offer, they were like "Well you're already in our good graces, so go ahead". In any case, I said I hoped to be seeing them midnight (when they hand out the bids) and they seemed pretty certain that they'd be handing one out to me. Looks like I'm good. Now to pull off business casual... But first, working out and homework.
