What do you mean?  Do you mean which presidents had the best first name, or just listing our favorite presidents by their first name only?

My understanding: Of all the Presidents with repeating first names ("William" can be claimed by a few presidents, for example), put your favorite for each name. Out of all the "Williams", I'd say McKinley is my favorite, for example. Out of the George's, it's Washington. Out of the Franklin's, it's FDR.

He was a slaveholder and not a member of the Republican party (such a thing did exist back then, but hardly as a vehicle of anti-slavery activists, and it now contains "Democratic-" suffix added by historians later). My guess anyway.

Washington opposed political parties on principle.

Exactly why Oldies, in theory, would prefer either of the Bushes, who had the tenacity to be Republicans and thus part of the great anti-slavery party. Washington never had that courage.
