I never much liked him years ago... but compared to the politicians today, what a man he was...
Is any one else very upset about his death?
Was he a man for folding to pressure and dumping his own VP?
I like McGovern, I just didn't see the need to attack today's figures. McGovern wasnt above politics or anything like that.
Yeah, and his waffling over Eagleton--ie. backing him 100% one day then dumping him the next--sorta ruined the whole "new politics" vibe, although Eagleton definitely should've been dumped.
