Atlas Friends of Israel

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone would be interested in joining an "Atlas Friends of Israel"; like the NRA, Progressive Caucus, Atlas Pro Life League, ACLC, etc. I want to start something like this, give out endorsements and what not. If you would like to join just post something to that effect here.

Sure, though why don't we make it into a neo-conish foreign policy orginization in general?

I wouldn't be opposed to that but then there are a lot of negative connotations regarding Iraq that come up(not to say I don't support the Iraq War). It's more inclusive to make it a pro-Israel thing.

Anyway, I hereby officially found the Atlas Friends of Israel. Anyone want to make a logo? I'm not really a whiz when it comes to stuff like that

I'll certainly join, as long as such an organization supports an eventual Palestinian state once Israel's borders are firmly secured.

This organisation would support such a state(although I personally would like a smaller West Bank than the 49' armistace line and no control of Jerusalem in Palestinian hands. I also want Israel to keep ahold of the Golan Heights)

Before I join, I want specifics on what policies this organization supports with regard to the Palestinian situation, whether they:

1. favor keeping and expanding settlements in the West Bank and the notion of a Greater Israel encompassing all the lands that once composed the biblical kingdom of Israel under King Solomon;

2. favor reviving the Oslo Accords by negotiating with the Palestinian Liberation Authority by granting land in return for peace;

3. or if it favors Ariel Sharon's approach in unilaterally drawing the borders, and removing settlements from exposed areas (such as Gaza) with the purpose of keeping Israel not just more secure behind more defensible borders, but also ensuring that it remains a Jewish-majority state.

I hope it's option 3.   

Perhaps the organisation shouldn't make specific policy statements seeing as how most people have thier own opinions. I would think support for a Jewish state and the belief that Israel has the right to do what is neccessary(not more) to protect its safety and security are sufficient.
