This movie has a good chance to become a national scandal.

Not really, since I doubt it will have high ticket sales.  After all, a chick-flick is a chick-flick, and most guys won't go to see it, especially when their wives won't be dragging them along with them.  I bet Michael Moores fiction movie will end up with higher ticket sales than this pony boy movie.

That's because it is in only 484 theaters in the US.  With so few theaters showing it, limited screenings, and a lot of media hype, initial ticket sales will be high.  However, it doesn't have much in lasting ability once/if it hits all the theaters.

In Alabama they're busy watching, oh, King Kong or Narnia. Assuming they're not watching 50-year-old classics on DVD Tongue.

What's wrong with 50-year-old classics on DVD?

And what's wrong with Narnia?  It was a fantastic movie, and I can't wait for them to produce the other 6 books. Smiley  I sent the full collection of books to my friend in the Philippines, since Narnia doesn't open out there until next month (give her a chance to become familiar with the material).

She had to come back the next day because it's the only theater in the area showing the movie, and it's only showing it twice a day.  *laughs*

If it wasn't for all the dumb media hype in the news, this thing wouldn't be showing at the 500 theaters it is currently at.
