I think Suozzi was a shoe in for it, but with his Primary run it makes it less so, though they have supposedly made up, and are working together helping Johnson's state Senate campaign.  As mentioned Israel, valezquez and Weiner are also possibilities.  Another possibility is Tom Dinapoli, who is a key member of the NY State Assembly.

Doubt it would happen again but you could see a Democrat jump ship for an easier Primary ala Bloomberg
