My sense is that mandatory vaccination is not a majority position in the US.  I hope I am wrong.

A great example of why no one should ever hop on the libertarian train. The flawed ideology almost always meanders into dangerous policy ideas such as this.

it is, though for some reason young people are the least supportive of it.

Because they have never had to seriously worry about infectious diseases worse than the flu (except for certain international travel)
