He is an American, he is a taxpayer, and he doesn't like the current state of American politics. He has every right to run for office than a regular, traditional politician.

He's an American. Qualification doesn't really matter any more. If you are a citizen, and want to change something, why not run? It's his country. His state.

Anybody can run, but not everyone is qualified to serve. This isn't a game, it's real life.

Was Al Franken really qualified?  No one cares about that anymore, unfortunately.
He was an activist for a lot of years before he even ran for office. Kid Rock is some B-list musicians who can't even decide what genre he is in who voiced a few political opinions here and there.

He's a U.S. citizen who is over 30 and resides in the State of Michigan?

Those are the legal requirements. I'm talking about qualifications to serve in the United States Senate. Know the difference between legal requirements and qualifications.

Reading Twitter, it seems like most people believe he's just trying to sell t-shirts and isn't actually running. Whatever this is, it's silly.

Trump got a plurality in Michigan which was lower raw percentage wise than what George W. Bush got, plus there was a big third party factor last year.

Kid Rock's chances of winning Michigan are slim to none. Michigan isn't a Republican state, nor even a particularly purple state. Voter turnout was down in 2016, especially among African Americans, in Michigan, but also among low-income White voters who opted to abstain or vote third party instead of vote for Clinton. In 2012, Stabenow defeated a bigoted GOP rival quite decisively. Kid Rock is just a joke.

But maybe Trump can campaign for him. You know, do a tour through Michigan, maybe rock out together about "bad hombres" and grabbing women by the pu**y.
Of course there are excuses for Hillary losing.

How are these excuses? They're literally just a list of the changes in voter demographics that shifted it from a sizable Obama win to a very narrow Trump win.

Don't rain on their parade. They think Michigan is Idaho now.

If anyone actually thinks he will win, they have lost their minds. Trump's win was a plurality, which means that his win wasn't exactly impressive or enough to claim that Michigan is going to be West Virginia. And how the hell is he blue collar? Being a musician is far from blue collar. With that being said, he will lose because he's a complete joke and it's likely to be a horrible cycle for Republicans.

And let's remember, that there is a primary and he will be facing a credible challenger who he has little chance of defeating.

he is a us citizen over the age of 35 that only things you need be qualified I didnt hear democrats bitching about al franken and I considered him qualified.

The age to run for Senate is 30, not 35. There is a differences between legal requirements and qualifications. As we have seen with Trump, qualifications and experience do matter.
