Bernie Sanders elected, what will he accomplish?

I don't know exactly what he could get done, but I know his supporters would be upset with him very quickly and he'd be in no better position than another Democrat. Considering he'd have to deal with at least one Republican chamber, it's a good chance some compromises would occur and he'd be accused of caving.
