County GOP auctions rifle to honor MLK

This isn't a huge story or anything, it's just sort of stupid to auction of a rifle to honor people who were shot, and MLK was shot with a rifle. I'm not even seeing the significance of auctioning off a rifle in honor of either men, it's not like they are icons for gun rights or something. Some things are just stupid, not outrageous, but just plain stupid and this is one of them.

It is dumb, but there should be no big uproar over it.  We have such bigger problems than this.

Yes, because black voters care about this instead of urban issues, poverty, and the institutionalized racism of the war on drugs....

This certainly isn't an issue anyone is losing sleep over, it's just a silly story. Plenty of black voters care about those issues, but the Republican Party doesn't. When is the last time you heard a Republican discuss urban issues?
