As Sam would say, be patient. We will find out what Obama's intentions are, when negotiations with the GOP get hot and heavy. The government cannot function, without some agreement on certain key issues, or we will get a shutdown. This should be a fascinating exercise to observe from the sidelines.
My prediction.
Obama: "I have adopted all of your positions now"
Republicans: "That is unacceptable Those are our positions from last year. We moved further to the right since then. This meeting is over"
Obama "Waaaaaah!"
