Right you are. He still has nothing for ROQ Francophones, which he needs if he ever wants a majority.

Eve Adams just crossed the floor to Team Justin. Good riddance.

She's been barred from running for us so she leaves and trashes the leader and party she supported until her pathetic antics caught up with her. She and Trudeau are holding a live presser at the National Press Club as I type. All very reminiscent of Stronach a decade ago.

She's apparently running against Raitt, so this will be short-lived. Soudas has probably returned to the party of his youth. Fife suggested that was Trudeau's condition for defection.

Cabinet shuffle: Kenney to Defence, Nicholson to Foreign Affairs, Poilievre to Employment.

Adams likely running against Oliver in Eglinton-Lawrence.

Tom Clark reported yesterday that the Grits won't be using Soudas because they don't trust him. "No source I spoke with felt Soudas might be of much value because his information might be suspect."

While I agree with you, I don't think Harper should worry. Soudas is hardly a Tarte figure.

Confirmed Adams will run in Eglinton-Lawrence, but there's already a local lawyer running for the nomination.

Byrne sent Butts flowers today to thank him for getting rid of Adams.

Fife said earlier on QP that Liberal HQ will rig Eglinton-Lawrence for Adams. Another potential competitor is Joe Volpe's son.

Tom Allison, he of Iggy/Wynne/Tory fame, will run Adams' campaign. Adams also met with Joe Volpe and asked for his help, he declined.

As was predictable 2 years ago, Joly will run for the PLC. Ahuntsic-Cartierville, to be precise.

Joe Volpe is deciding whether he or his son Flavio will seek the Grit nomination. Someone should ask Wynne whether she agrees with Trudeau or Cole.

David Akin contradicts the earlier CP report, says Volpe is mulling running himself. Oliver would certainly beat Adams, contra what he said about the Grit winner being an odds-on favourite. Flavio Volpe is not interested. Besides what Linus said, says something about Gritdom that they'd ditch a solid local for a useless, pathetic scumbag like Adams.

David Smith wasn't consulted, nor were local Grits. He's publicly criticizing Trudeau - first time in public by someone so senior IIRC. Riding association president supports Mendecino. At this rate Justin has almost caught up with Martin in nomination controversies.

My favourite part: Liberal caucus only found out 15 minutes before, via teleconference. Trudeau didn't even announce it himself, rather his COS.

I haven't heard why a coalition is necessary as opposed to less formal arrangements.

Bill Blair may run for the Grits in Scarborough Southwest and Davenport is being reserved for a "prominent Torontonian."

Back to the future: Grit MPs criticizing their leader in the media again. Not as juicy as Taber on Dion/Iggy.

Ivison on Tory wooing of Quebec. Also worth noting: private polling has the Dippers losing their deposits in 20 GTA ridings.

I agree with Smid, as usual. Grits do the same thing in by-elections.

Yes, regional ministers pick their candidates. I missed the memo where nomination SOP became a BFD.

Funke: Grits may pick Frulla to replace Pacetti.
