Yeah, Rattlesnake, it's highly likely this project will never be finished even if approved.  This is why I support it. Important lesson that we pass this obvious failure.

Once upon a time there was an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years. One day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to visit. “Such bad luck!"

“We'll see,” the farmer replied.

The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses. “How wonderful!”

“We'll see."

The following day, his son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathy, "How terrible!"

“We'll see."

The day after, military officials came to the village to draft young men into the army. Seeing that the son’s leg was broken, they passed him by. The neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well things had turned out.

“We'll see."

Amash is correct. Good for him.

The reason GOP doesn't want a broad bill on this is because it opens the door for the EPA to protect more land for environmental interests.

Or blackmail more oil companies for donations?

That, too. But I think the environmentalist boogie man is more prevalent in their mind.
