It's just that normally they don't talk about it to complete strangers over the internet.

Have you seen Tumblr?

The uniqueness here is that it's all coherently organized in a series of threads.

No, I don't think it's at all normal for those episodes to repeatedly happen. And now that he's acknowledged this latest one, perhaps with some guidance, he'll actually seek the attention he needs.

So, crying as a man indicates a need of professional mental attention?

No, but you do have wild mood swings. You're either elated and superconfident or at bottom. I've never seen you express you had just a middle of the road day where you neither felt blessed to be alive nor crappy about anything.

The best example of this is the day you had negative performance review you were down in the dumps and the next day you said the whole world had made complete 180 and your boss loved you.

It's a sign of strength for a man to cry and say "I can't do it alone", not a sign that a mental health expert needs to be called in.

But what good is saying "I can't do it alone" if you essentially decide to do it alone by rejecting help?

Reaching a breaking point is not normal. Well, it is normal in that it's common, but it doesn't have to be normal. If you had a therapist to release a little tension couple of weeks, you would never reach a breaking point.

Crying when things difficult things just pile on isn't abnormal or mental health necessary.

Again, if you sought proper help, difficult things would stop piling on and you would not have this problem.

This isn't 1954. They aren't going to give you shock treatment or lobotomize you.

I wouldn't put all of Oklahoma in this, HD. I mean, there ARE mental health professionals who make enough of a living in Oklahoma for Bushie to see.

I love how helpless Bushie is. Why can't you get some sent to a pharmacy in Tulsa?

Wasn't the reason they drove to Tulsa because his pharmacy was in Tulsa? Now his pharmacy is in OKC?

I think he's saying that his meds, which have already been dispensed, are at his parents' trailer in (actually about 20 miles outside) OKC.

But he gets free drugs from IHS coverage, so he should be able to get the pharmacy to dispense more.

I have a plan.

1. Put the CAD/job business to rest.
2. Take out another student loan.
3. Get a Masters of Theological Studies from Oklahoma Christian University.
4. Knock it out of the park because you're actually passionate about it.
5. Move to North Carolina.
6. Enroll in the doctorate program at Duke.
7. Become a career academic.
8. Die with some respectability to your name and about the same amount of massive debt as you probably would've built up chasing scams on your parents dime anyway.

It might just be crazy enough to work.

forget all the education.  cant he just become a preacher at one of those hellfire and brimstone churches he goes to?

Well, once he gets the Masters, I'm sure he can be a Professor at an unaccredited Bible College.

What a horrific interpretation of Mark 14. The story was about how the perfume had no intrinsic value and how material life is fleeting not "God rewards those who submit to him the most."

I'm guessing all of your Bible Studies end with the story of the day being interpreted as "submit to him more and he will reward you."

That actually is quite frightening.

Has no one been listening to what Bushie has said about his church... they're actual literalists. There's no space for interpretation, no space let alone toleration for freedom of thought.

Even literally, I don't see how you get that out of Mark 14. It's really kind of strange. "Submit more to God and God will take care of you" is usually what Bushie says, but that's coincidentally the lesson today? From Mark 14?

Bushie what did you learn in your previous Bible Study before this? Do you remember?

Enjoyable Friday dinner? RIP Bushie Family.

But seriously, where are you guys eating? Please don't say a chain restaurant.

Blue Corn Cafe is great. They brew their own beers. Too bad you guys don't drink.

I prefer Rio Chama Steakhouse, which is a more upscale version with the same ownership, but I wouldn't want to do that to Papa and Mama's bank account.

I wouldn't want to ruin Mama and Papa's weekend getaway by making it even more about Bushie.

Unless J-Mann wants to stage an intervention...
