Apparently it spawned Cainmentum, and here Perry thought it had to be with Newt.

Still, how did Cain rise so much so fast?
Why is Cain all over the place?
Why are Cain's poll numbers so good?

Fox News released a national poll in which he tied his previous high from mid-June.

I know, I know, he won the Florida straw poll, Perry's apparent implosion has created a vacuum, and Cain's an endless source of charming aphorisms. But "overreaction" doesn't even begin to describe the terms in which people are discussing his candidacy on the Atlas Forum.)

The whole internets have been buzzing about Cain since the 22nd, climaxing on the 25th:
