Alternatively, one could use the result of the immediately preceding round. Thus, if two individuals tie in round 10, then the one with more votes in round 9 would be eliminated. If still tied, then round 8, and so forth.

I agree that we should come up with a way of granting immunity once in a while. The trivia question idea seems like a good one.
