HC that harbors suspicions about what all of its neighbors might do to take some of its territory because that's what it has tried to do to its neighbors, but failed.  One of the more spectacular small-scale examples of a country that overreached in the past century, and definitely one in serious denial of its history.
They haven't failed - their borders with Bulgaria and Greece are about a 100 km north of where they should be. They did fail with Turkey, but they've done rather well in comparison with some other Balkan countries. Bulgaria is a much better example of a country that overreached.
Back to Greece, they have a lot of undeserved pride and arrogance. And they are in serious denial - they have tried and continue to try to erase any sign that anyone lived or lives in Greece. Probably our second worst neigbour (you can easily guess the worst).
On the other they have steadfastly opposed the West on Kosovo and for that alone the country is a FC.

Yeah, that's why I voted HC on the FOEPIG* as well.

*Former Ottoman Empire Possessions in Greece. As long as they call Macedonia "FYROM"...
I like the Macedonians much better than the Greeks, but Greece is completely right in this case.

Why do I suspect that you believe the Macedonians are merely Western Bulgarians with delusions of nationhood?
The question of their nationhood today is undisputed, as is the fact that their language is mutually inteligible with Bulgarian. The question about the past is the problem.
Anyway, this has nothing to do with me liking them. I like them on a personal level. And their country is rather nice.

What does a senile former Offenbach coach have to do with me?

Former?  Damn.

When I was in Germany and it was Greece vs. Portugal in some Eurocup final, all of the Germans were hardcore rooting for Griechenland.
Portugal defeated Germany 3:0 in the 2000 Euro championship. I suppose there are long and bitter memories.
