You're getting confused.  If you want to argue that Obama's presidency left you uinspired, that's one thing and you have a right to that opinion.  But we're talking about the historic nature of a candidate being inspirational during their candidacy.  Are you trying to argue that Obama's candidacy wasn't inspiring? 

There is no objective way to argue that the first woman of color on a presidential ticket is not inspiring.

I only watch the UK version of the Office. I was born and partially raised in London, and hold dual citizenship. I have a fairly interesting background.

If I became president, would it be historic for me, as a Briton, to win the presidency (let’s ignore the constitutional debate about this for this example). I mean, it really shouldn’t.
