The only way I see Romney winning the primaries is if he can convince voters that he is the only person who can beat Obama in a one on one election. Romney can win over white catholic swing voters in the swing states.
I think Perry's weakness is that he might not be able to beat Obama. Initial impressions are that he is Dubya-lite and doesn't have a vision for the presidency. He was dragged into the race reluctantly. He might look good on paper, but I just don't buy that his heart is in the race to win it. He'll enjoy the excitement of the primaries but I don't think he wants to be president. He wants to stay in Texas.
