One area which constantly gets avoided is energy policy.
We need to increase domestic production of oil, increase refining capacity and embark on a program to increase nuclear energy production.
Also, I am suprised that the issue of local governments stealing private real estate from the poor to give to the rich has not received greater prominence.
If I was a candidate for Governor or state legislature I would push for a state constitutional amendment to prevent such abuse of eminent domain.
Finally, if a terrorist incident occurs in this country between now and election day, this will become a major issue.
