Define success?

I think that this question should be more defined but also his campaign should be compared to other ones in the past that were similar. In my opinion his campaign has shown me that a right-wing social conservative with a racist history can gain support from conservatives.

if Ron Paul supported liberals policies and was a democrat I am pretty sure the newsletter issue would have demolished his political career.
