Do people really say this?
If someone were this stupid, I'd just change topics. There is no getting through to a person whose first instinct is to resort to name-calling.
I couldn't agree more. I think a lot of people just want to stir an uproar by asking questions that are by nature divisive. Someone else asked why Republicans hate Obama so much. The kids asking these questions sure learned rhetoric in school but did they learn reality?
I have relatives who still shun me because I opposed Iraq, and yes I have been called un American, so ya it does happen.
