Say No To The Racist Sunflowers Act

1. Growing the racist sunflowers at your yard is illegal.
2. If you really want to grow something useful, try weeds.

The Keep The Least Unemployment Rate Act
The Midwest will be making more important things, such as statues of Governors, the Midwest Mt.Rushmore, and giving more power/money to Midwesterners. Also, anyone caught being mad at someone or in a bad mood for no reason/not accepting a *hughughug* shall be immediately be given cake to cheer them up, be given a *hughughug*, and will be cheered up by a playing of "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life", by the Official Midwest Happiness Bureau, which will give hundreds of new jobs to the Midwest.

Save our Jobs Act
The Midwest will give 50,000,000$ to funding of agriculture. The Midwest shall also give 40,000,000$ to funding of mining. The Midwest shall also give a bonus of 30,000,000$ to any company that grows crops and mines in the Midwest (or, less preferably, but okay) other parts of Atlasia.

So, now that you're saying what would happen with these scenarios, can you give us any advice about what to do?

Advice?  Take a moment to be serious.  What do you think should be done to drop unemployment?

My entire reason for entering this thread was to ask about where the money was coming from.  Do you guys have a surplus or will taxes have to be raised or programs cut to fund that bill?  Does the Midwest even have a budget?

Woah. Now hold on lil doggie. We don't play that way here in th MW.

Let's sell Montana to Canada.
How about Wyoming instead? There are no citizens there.

The midwest has flat taxes?  So much for progressivism Tongue

Midwest Revenue
Personal Income Tax 6%
Business Income Tax 12%

So great, now the region will collect more revenue.  That's also more money coming out of mid-westerners' pockets.  And this is to pay for the $120,000,000 in handouts?  You might want to look into how much money those taxes will actually raise and what obligations need to be paid.

As of now, I don't see any real reason for Midwest unemployment to decrease.
Fine
raise the rich's taxes by 6% to 14%

Midwestern Irridentialist Act, Take Eleventymillion

1. The Midwest claims the state now known as "Oceania" as its 12th state, Nirvana.
2. Should the Midwest gain sovereignty over Nirvana, the Midwest pledges to make Samoan and Chamorro official languages of the Midwestern Region.
3. The Midwest reminds Atlasia that it also claims the state now known as "New Mexico" as its 11th state, according to previous Irridentialist laws.
