There's no way that Hoover could have won a Presidential election again until at least 1972, and even then, McGovern would likely beat him.
Your "knowledge" of history is always good for a laugh Jfern. Try reading about Hoover before you bash him.
FDR, Truman, Stevenson, JFK, LBJ, and Humphrey would just run against Hoover's economic record and win. Humphrey only barely lost to Nixon, and Stevenson only got his butt kicked because he was running against Eisenhower.
But you gorget he pretty much was forgiven for "starting" the depression after sucesfully leading the world once again in feeding the world (Finland in 1939, Europe from 1946-1950, South America 1950-1953) and then the Hoover Commission that the government beurocracy in the executive branch in half, saving taxpayers millions.
So he easily could have defeated the "egghead" Stevenseon and by waving the War Shirt in 1940, might have beaten FDR.
