What experience would he have other than 2 years as Governor?

He's been in the House of Representatives since 1991.

I did alittle research on him, skimmed through his website...I wouldn't mind him as President.

He will make a fine Governor after the Vilsack disaster. I persoanly think he will be President one day, but even if he doesn't run for President in 2008, i'm still voting for him in the Iowa Caucus.

Even if Nussle were elected Governor he would have to start campaigning for President almost immediately after taking office.  Wouldn't think be frowned upon by his constituents?

Well he has served as a beloved Represenatative for the 3rd District of Iowa since 1991. He is plenty accepted by the constitutents.

I'm guessing that for something like the Iowa Caucuses that local committeepeople hold a lot of influence in this process. Is this true? I'd think that not only committeepeople but the average person who attends the caucuses has a good deal of influence. Why would you support someone if they have no intention of running? And who will be your second preference? Owens?

If Owens doesn't run i'll write in Nussle. If he does run i'll vote Owens.

I just don't want to vote for Giuliani or McCain.

Hmm. So he'd be campaigning on a long house record, basically. He'd have no gubernatorial experience, since he'd have to spend all his time campaigning.

Frankly my hope for Nussle 2004 is impossible, but he may be a good Vice Presidential choice.

(I still think he should run and he may win a write i  vote from me in 2008's Iowa Caucus)
