I continue to doubt that Duckworth will run for anything other than reelection, inasmuch as she has underperformed before and is about to have a child. Cheri Bustos, Mike Quigley, Sheila Simon, Mike Frerichs, or Tom Dart would all have been interesting to test, since they are all plausible nominees.

There is, by the way, already a semi-prominent candidate running: Tio Hardiman, a businessman who challenged Quinn in the 2014 primary and got flattened. Doubt he'll be the candidate, but he could very well be able to crack double-digits in a primary.
