I would vote for Rand. The idea that opebo would beat Rand in an election in the US, however, is hilarious. Rand would crush him.

Really?  Are you so sure?  In fact I'm as American as apple pie, and a bit of a rake and a cad - not unlike a cross between George Bush and Somerset Maugham.  I think they might like me.  After all Rand was a troll and a creepy character with a thick Russian accent and far more of a dastardly Atheist than I.

Meh. Rand would come off as a sort of Santorum character, with social beliefs all out of whack but otherwise OK (and she would be inevitably moderated even by a Republican-majority Congress), whereas you would be totally unacceptable to basically the entire establishment, with both social and economic beliefs out of whack. Rand would beat you easily; the economic issues would kill you.

What the devil?  Santorum's a christian, so his social views are dominant in the USA.

Certain of Santorum's views, on things like contraception, are rather not dominant in the USA.

One thing's for sure, Rand was an astounding unlikable person.

Can't recall reading that, but maybe. In any case, your ideology is far enough away from the mainstream that it wouldn't matter.

Wait, opebo's economic beliefs are out of whack and would kill him but Rand's aren't?

Yes. I'm assuming only-two-options election, of course.

Is the average voter now some sort of extreme social Darwinist who advocates complete abolition of the entire social safety net?  LOL.

The average voter is closer to that than to opebo's beliefs.
