would I really be representing Virginia?  It looks like my region represented Virginia in the last redrawing of districts, but not the current one.

You would be running for a regional seat, which has different boundaries than a district seat.

Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin, plus DC are the states you would represent, btw
